Product Features:

  • Because Lyleq is a progestin-only pill, it may be appropriate for women who are unable to take birth control that contains estrogen

Progestin-only oral contraceptives (POPs) can cause serious side effects, such as ectopic pregnancy, ovarian cysts, and irregular bleeding.

The most common side effects of POPs are changes in menstrual bleeding; periods may be either early or late, and spotting between periods may occur. Less common side effects include headaches, tender breasts, nausea, and dizziness.
